    Sony RX100

I haven't used my Rx100v much for wile but its still a capable mini beast. The files respond well to Lightroom denoise AI

What video camera is best to record an 85" QLED t/v screen?

'Generally' appliances like this can be reset to factory condition, which can resolve problems which have developed with firmware and drivers etc. It would likely want to updates again but getting latest onto clean base as it were might avoid any problems introduced by incremental updates. Or...

    Photo-spheres

The dji drones can do this and if you upload to facebook it works there quite well as an image you can drag about in all directions. To do that doesn't need any additional processing or converting. I wonder if it works with 360 cameras such as insta 360 too.

    Going DIY strap route

I prefer a simple loop of paracord, which costs about 1p.

    What is this for?

    Somehow I don't think you'll have a use for it. https://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/threads/project-photographic-methods-of-making-pcbs.107696/

    Beginner Spots on image

You will also see them more easily with aperture closed down i.e. f22 or whatever. Cleaning sensor periodically is a normal part of interchangeable lens cameras. A bulb type blower is first thing to get it might blow the specks off - and if not in a rush you use it to blast the back of the lens...

Quick way to get photos from cell phone to laptop?

Quickshare from google connects direct to laptop or PC from pixel phone anyway - no cloud involved. It's via home wifi so not blazingly fast but not slow either - the fastest way will be connect cable and I'd probably do it that way for more than a handful of photos or one video. I don't...

The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

The setting is in focus assist and is called focus magnification then you usually have at least two options for what it first jumps too. Or is the question about reviewing images to check focus.

It maybe only zooms in then you touch menu or shutter to go back to show full image. Almost every button can be customised, I have what's on left button in FN menu and put focus peaking or zebras there (on different Sonys)

North England North York Moors locations

You'll be on the Southern Edge of cropton forest which is likely to be pretty good. There's a limestone escarpment just south of Stape and all along the base of that is an area of rough grazing and patchy woodland. Cropton Forest is now into second generation so a good range of cleared and...

It's worse in video, you can stop it by flicking into manual focus.

The A7Siii update is pretty good, it feels like a different camera with revised menu more like newer Sony style and also swipe on screen brings up useful icons both sides is this unique? Seems quite useful if you remember its there, could do with it on A7iv too. The only real technical...

Signs of Spring in my little patch ( open thread)

No snow here for a change, we often get worst spell of Winter in March or even April. These were spotted at a point I pass daily never noticed before but large clumps this time can't have all grown this year.

    Sycamore Gap Tree

It looked on its last legs probably snow and/or wind broke it off and the bits blew away. Trees don't thrive on waterlogged windswept uplands in northern England
