That looks like a big lens for a prime. Fuji's 23mm f2 looks tiny by comparison. I am definitely willing to sacrifice one stop for a more convenient size!

Depends what you read. I've heard they're both pretty slow and noisy so from an AF point of view you're not losing out; but I haven't read anywhere that the Fuji is worse in anyway than the TTA

I'm looking to ditch the TTartisan 27mm and move to the Fuji one, for two reasons: - Performance wide open is crap - The Fuji one is much smaller However, sometimes I feel like 27mm isn't wide enough. Putting the size aside....should I consider the 23mm F2? Anyone have both for comparison?

I'm confused. The weather sealing kit is just the lens cover? All I can see is the leather case! Sexiest pictures of a camera I've ever seen. Have you considered doing product shots? ;)

Indeed! Especially as I picked it up for £120 from @Nod! Super value

I am, of course, still learning it all. I think in most scenarios I’ve been in so far, there has enough light that the shutter speed has been high enough even at middling apertures. Having said that, typically I am shooting at the fastest a lens will go, I’m not consciously going for middling...

Also…maybe somewhat controversially - I’m really not bothered about aperture. Seeing as the majority of lenses seem to be sharpest around f8* and I’m just not fussed about chasing apertures below f2.8. Unless someone can enlighten me about what I’m missing; but for what I’m generally snapping...

Appreciate the input but really the goal here is less stuff, not more stuff. I do not need encouraging to buy more stuff! Realistically if I’m going for a hike, or I’m on holiday I’m not going to be lugging around two bodies with a lens on each. Typically I found it irritating because I was...

I should probably have added - I’m swapping between the XF 18-55mm and the XC 50-230mm. A lens that covers 18-300mm is very appealing. Reviews seem to indicate that it’s the first super zoom covering such a range that is worth bothering with; but some real-world experience would be nice. It’s...

Anyone had any experience of the Tamron 18-300? Reviews are pretty good; obviously there’s some pixel peepers on DP review who say it’s no match for Fuji glass. Currently on Mull towards the end of my holiday and my biggest irritation is having to swap lenses all the time. Would happily...

The drive dial on the previous X-Txx is a hard-click dial as well. Anything can be done if they want.

Damn. That's a shame. Having watched a couple of reviews now, the only compelling feature really is the IBIS. That dedicated Film Sim dial is a swing and a miss. I hope for their sake they upgrade the firmware to make it customisable. Of more interest is that 16-50mm kit lens; looks like a...

Looks great. I want one. X-E what? That price is unfortunate though; but is that for the whole kit or just the body?
