@THIRTYFIVEMILL These were done with the Sigma 150mm f/2.8 EX DG APO HSM, natural light and the head on ones focus stacked. The damsel was around 1-1.5ft away from the front element of the lens.
Blimey that was a close race, well done @Gav. and @johnty52 some really cracking shots to choose from I have to say.

My neighbour has this vintage beauty in his shed and let me have a go at attempting a studio session of it in situ. Not a lot of space so I had to get a bit creative where I put my soft box and reflectors to light and limited my shooting angles a bit but it was an interesting challenge.

Cheers Nick, both the damsel and wasps(?) were shot with a camera ;) ( Canon 5d mkiii) and a Sigma 150mm macro lens with a Raynox DCR-250 but consisted of a stack of around 25 layers for the wasp and around 10 for the damsel. The grasshopper was a single shot with the bare macro...
Week 22 Critters
A few mini beast back garden critters from today.
1. bees/ wasps/ sawflies(no clue really but leaning towards wasps) having a piggy back ride... ;)
2. Very young grasshopper on some grass seed
3. Immature Common Blue Damselfly giving me a grin
