All they could do is offer a return.. fair enough, they don’t have a real “as new” in stock but hey.. they agreed after seeing the photos that something went wrong with quality control, so we will see. I’ll try and have a good go this weekend and make a decision.

I've been trying to find the original link to the one I bought but it's not there sadly.. but they are annoying. They list this as excellent with marks on the glass, but its more expensive than the one in "good" condition... Honestly...

No complaints with my for the R5 and 800; used this at length during my recent period in Canada and was delighted.

Definitely avoid this one - plenty more models as evidenced don't have the problem. Along with the Z50, I'd also second the entry-level Canon R models, which if you go with an EF adapter are great too and has no visible detriment to performance

Hmm I was just speaking from my experience - I have the 200 2.8 and 24-105L and the 50 1.4 - and they worked fine on my Z7.

Here's the thing - I've had the R5 before, got bored and sold it, and decided to go with Leica for the SL2. But the AF is just not quite.. there. So once I've sold the Leica, I'm going to put those funds into either a Z8 or an R5. R5 is great, and I've still got a few good lenses for Canon...
