Having used themin my old studio back in the day (solid ones not foldable) I'd suggest you may be better off with a brolly and stand, or softbox, miles better for general portraits IMHO .
A gentle wash by hand and hang up to dry in a dust free place as you can find (bath rooms were popular back in the day) Dont use hot water as it softens the gel layer. A little spot of soap in the water should help (I've used fairy liquid with no issues)
Had a photoshoot with a former miss world contestant. These are some of the fun shots we took after the serious stuff. She reminds me a bit of Jane Fonda.
I dont use Profoto, but I suspect you could fire them in slave mode with optical slave firing. I have my doubts about the wireless. I'm sure someone will know properly though.
