Is there a tool in photoshop (elements3) or a technique that will help get rid of shiny faces? I was asked to take some portraits at work and despite difusing (sp) thefalsh with some toilet role (thanks marrianne) shiny face syndrome was hard to avoid. Any tips would be much appreciated.

Cheers
Kev

Does PSE 3 have a "dust and scratches" filter?
This is how I do it in PS. Works great for blemishes and wrinkles and stray hair too. Using the lasso I loosely select the problem areas on the face, avoiding the eyes, brows, lips, tip of nose. Feather the selection at 15-20. Ctrl-J to make the selection a dupe layer. Apply the dust and scratches filter and adjust the radius and threshold and the layer opacity to keep it real and un-plastic-like. Flatten and go!

try the highlight/shadow tool to knock the highlights back , have used it with success on my shiney shots :)
