Just took the D200 out with me while walking the doggie this evening. Nothing special, just wanted to have a play with the camera.
It's nice overall, lots of little niggles, and I think that really I'm just as happy shooting the D70, but the D200 does have some fun tricks that'll keep me amused for a while.

Aaand I just popped outside to test long exposure // low light performance, which is ace!
Couldn't be arsed to do anything proper cause' I don't have a remote release yet (and damn there are a lot to choose from) - so I was just stood there like a lemon holding down the shutter in bulb mode.

Aperture : F/3.5
Focal Length : 15mm
ISO : 800
Shutter : A minute. Ish.

Had long exposure NR on too, which seems a bit random - sometimes it takes a dark frame as long as the main exposure, but sometimes it does one only about half as long. Weird. Does a good job, regardless!

I love our D200, I found it an easy camera to naggivate too, it is such a lovely camera, everything feels more definite, including the shots taken, exposure and modelling are amazing...
Looks like you'll be producing some interesting shots with your new baby!

hehe, yeah - had 'im since he was a pup!
He's a bit of a nutcase, and is also deaf as a doorpost... But he's cool :D

cool, can't hear you when he charges off eh? bit like Ralph's selective hearing, oh he can hear you alright as he tears off...its whether he choses to listen! apparently its a trait of the breed, which I'm sure we'll get again
