Hi,
I wanted to check if anyone here had any experience flying with the camera gear in Redsnapper backpacks (particularly SY603)? Does it fit into the size restricted by handluggage allowance (for example British Airways)?
Thanks,
Alex

Have a look at the airport baggage limits for wherever you are flying.
Its much better to get these details from the horse's mouth rather than someone saying "well it'll probably be OK" only to find your lenses are taking a trip down the conveyor belt into the baggage hold!
Measure the dimensions of the bag, and cross check with the airport and the airlines published limits.

That is why I ask if somebody actually have been flying with it. I can measure the sizes and calculate well enough but for soft bags and backpacks it does not always make sense because they can be deformed in either direction depending on the load. Hence the question.

If you are worried why not take a drive across to the airport and try it in one of the bag measure things.
People get on with suitcases as hand luggage these days so i wouldnt worry too much. If you are doing a short hop in a small plane then i would try and keep the hand luggage down as there is very little space... Long haul then if you can carry it take it as hand luggage!

I don't have it yet - was considering to buy and wanted to check if somebody actually had an experience.

Thanks - that's cool, but I was asking about a particular backpack (Redsnapper SY603). I do have a smaller Lowepro Orion II (slightly smaller than Adventure 9) and know that it fits. Thank you anyway
