Has anyone used this? Been wanting a macro lens for a while, and am thinking this may be worth £70 to at least get started. AF shouldn't be an issue considering I would be using it soly for Macro. Also, Do AI lenses meter on my S5?

TIA

The best Vititar lenses are the older f/2.5 Series 1, which were manufactured by Kiron, Tokina etc.

There are lots of these around, some excellent some merely OK. Vivitar lenses were made by several difference manufactueres ie Tokina, Kiron, Cosina. Try to find out more about the lens.

Yes, the lens will meter OK, just use the Non CPU lens option. I had the Kiron 105mm f/2.8 and it was superb. If the Vivitar you are looking at is Kiron or Tokina, go for it :)

Thanks for your help, can't really find that much about it by googling, but there are a few good reviews.
