It's my 50th birthday next month and my Mother and my Wife have both told me today they are giving me £500 each in the New Year to allow me to buy my own special present.

Now if I sell my Nr Mint 6 month old 5D and grip for a reasonable sum then I do not have to find too much more to get a 5D MkII. It seems like a good time to change as I won't be 50 again and doubt I will have the opportunity to get a MkII for a while after that.

So, is there anywhere with the MkII in stock and if so what is the best price?

You'll get a lot of info from this thread (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=96634).

Quite a few retailers including Jessops, Park Cameras, Wilkinsons etc. etc have them in stock, but for near enough the retail price.

The larger discounted shop offerings seem to be held up by Canon or imports.

Dabs.com are the cheapest, although their stock vanishes fast so check often :)
