Hello.
I am off to Florida next March and am looking to take my Canon EOS 40D, 50mm f1.4, Sigma 10-20mm lens and a 430 EX II flash.
Could somebody recommend a bag that will take the above and is small enough to take as carry on luggage.
I am thinking small shoulder bag or waistpack style.
Cheers.

I reckon the Lowepro Nova 2 AW would fit it all in. £17.99 at 7dayshop

... and is small enough to take as carry on luggage. This might depend quite significantly on who you're flying with. Different airlines can have vastly different carry-on allowances. Check, double-check and triple check what your airline allows.

Cheers guys. I've been eyeing up the smaller Kata shoulder bags. Anyboys got a Kata, if so what like are they?
I have two Kata bags' the R-103 and HB-205. Kata products are superb IMHO, real quality and are extremely well made and rugged
I'd imagine the R-103 would be perfect for what you're taking, and also has a compartment to put a laptop if needed. It's a backpack though...

I use a nice little Tamrac shoulder bag, its this model I think:
http://www.tamrac.com/5534.htm
I can fit a D700 with a 17-35 f/2.8 lens, plus say a Sigma 50mm f/1.4 + I use a side addon which will take either an 18-70 or 55-200 DX lens.
An alternative configuaration is a D60 + 18-70 DX lens, 55-200 DX lens in a side addon, a wide angle, plus Sigma 30mm or Nikkor 35/2.

My second small carry bag is a Lowepro 200AW
good bacg, easily swallows my 40D with Grip, Sigma 24-70 & Sigma 28-300 as well as My flash gun, 4 spare AA batteries and 2 40d batteries.
Top that off nicely with my Ipod and travel Documents
I use it for gigs and short hops. When I go to gigs It holds my 40d and 400d with my sigma 20mm and 24-70mm attached to the bodies. Also a wee bit of room for the flash

No Crumpler fans here? I have a Crumpler, looks wonderful, very protective, and not many people know you have a camera.
I have a medium size version of a model I cant remember. I dont think its made anymore though. But Crumpler do a nice variety.
Works well within carry-on limits and holds everything.
