Now i dont know how this happened, i left my 600 F4 and 70-200 F2.8 alone for an hour

You'd have thought the lens coat would provide some 'protection' in this encounter! But I guess it's missing the 'tip'! ;)

The 300 2.8 is an all round good lens had mine for just over a year , congrats Ian looking forward to the results from you
I had a look at it today - its a remarkably diddy lens! :)
