Never been down this dale before - very very nice too, until the heavens opened :) .
Had difficulty processing this one, there was a lot of contrast between the very bright sky and the valley floor, especially the parts shaded by clouds, blown highlights :bang: Should I have exposed for the sky or the land ? (which is easier to correct in photoshop, shot in RAW).

Then it clouded over a bit...

Thanks for looking,
Rich
You could have taken a couple of shots - one exposing for the sky and one exposing for the land and then merged (HDR, layers etc - various methods)
If you have the RAW shot then all may not be lost unless the highlights are really blown.
Or you could use a grad ND filter and cover the sky so there is not such a great range.

Lovely shots Rich, although I actually prefer the full fat colour in these shots :p

You might want to try using this method Rick, called Digital Blending Clicky, (http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/digital-blending.shtml)
I use the Layer Mask method that's descibed in the tutorial.

Thanks Mike, I'll look into that
Well I know diddly squat about landscapes but I think theyre rather nice actually .... No.1 being my fave.
Yours came out better than my Welsh pics, in fact I binned most of mine because of the blown sky thing!

As a born n bred Yorkshireman I always like to guess where local pictures were taken.
I think I have seen this area before but cannot put my finger on where your location was.
I give in.. Where is it..
BTW: Excellent shots.:)
