Thought I'd come in here to boast a bit! heh. I've just purchased a mint used Canon 5D for £749 from Park cameras.
I have been a proud Canon 350D user for about 2 1/2 years now and felt it was time to jump ship and upgrade to something a little more serious.
I do a lot of low light and gig photographer which was originally leaning me towards the Nikon D300. Then I went and read this: http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/iso-comparisons/2007-11/index.htm and changed my mind completely.
Full frame is also a factor which vary much appealed to me. I almost purchased a Canon 16-35L but my mind told me to wait until after my holiday in two weeks!
All of my lenses but one are EF so look out in the FOR SALE forum if you looking for a 350D body or Tokina 12-24!
