Hi,

I've got an old Metz 40MZ1 that I used to use with an EOS film camera. However, despite Metz's SCA system that supposedly allows your flashgun to be used with whatever camera system you change to I found that it didn't work satisfactorily with my old olympus E-300 and the dedicated adapter for m Alpha 300 costs £40 and only gives me very limited functionality. So much for future proofing. Anyway, I need a flashgun. Anyone got any recommendations?

i can recommend sony's own HVL-F42AM,a great flash for the money...around £130...but with the £30 cashback until the 31st of january..it'll only cost you £100:thumbs:

I'll stick in a good word for the Sigma EF 530 DG Super I've only used the canon version but I really can't fault it and you get an awful lot of flash for not very much money!
