Can anyone give a little advice please!

I have recently bought a Fujifilm Finepix S100fs, and although I have spent a little time playing I'm not 100 per cent up to scratch with it! I have been asked to take some interior photos of a theatre (when it is closed to the public) and would like to know the best way to go about it! Any advice would be gratefully received:help:

many thanks, Pip:)

Depends on the light, you may need a tripod?

100iso
A mode f5.6
multi metering

if required adjust exposure and check for even histogram - page 66

Hi Dave,

thank you, I have a tripod. It is a fairly big theatre and possibly we will not have much lighting. Any suggestions there?

Hi Pip
Same as above with the addition of the tripod, switch image stablising OFF plus set camera to 2 sec timer (for tripod work only) so that you avoid any vibration.

For handheld you'll have to see what the shutter speeds you get. If they are acceptable for the focal length you might get away with some handheld shots (IS ON)?

For the latter, try using between 100-400iso

Def Iso 100 if the s9600 is anything to go by.
