So i've been meaning to get a CPL for a while now, but as all my lenses have different filter sizes, i'd prefer to get one for the filter holder. This is due to the price of some of the filters. As my main lens is a whopping 82mm filter thread, buying a CPL is quite costly, so i'm thinking about adding a cpl to my cokin set.

Anyone used the cokin CPL which drops into the filter holder?

And are there any alternatives to the cokin? ones that sit in the holder would be preferable.

Thanks :)

The Cokin "P" (Cokin P164) one is fine, I have one - although I only use it when I wish to stack a C-Pol + ND Grad.

Kood also makes a version that's half the price

You also have the option of buying the largest diameter you need and investing in a series of step-up rings.

Also be aware that the Cokin P 164 is only around 70mm diameter....the rest being taken up by the frame. Lenses with a front element above 67mm will have problems with it.
