I am after a new lens and have been considering the Canon 10-22 but I can get a 17-40L for the same money. I do like the 10mm as I take mostly landscapes but would I notice a big difference between my Sigma 17-70 and the 17-40L. I could live without the 10mm if the jump in quality was sufficient.

Does anybody near Chorley have a 17-40 and would you mind meeting up somewhere and letting me shoot a few shots with it?
Could be an excuse for a day out togging and it could help make up my mind.

Sorry Im near but no wide at the moment, You could take your camera to Wilkinsons in Preston they are very helpful and let you put the lens on your camera and try it out.

Am I allowed to mention shops on here? I dont have any connections with them

I have thought of going to Wilkinsons but all I will get is a load of pics of the inside of a horribly shop.
