View Full Version : Flexing my wings....
Only sightly cropped to take out the expanse of the wall. She weighs 11lbs and is rather heavy on the end of the glove. Seen here stretching her wings in the sunshine.

I like this -it has the potential to be a great shot, but something doesn't quite sit right with me  I don't know if it's the lack of space on the left or something else - can't quite put my finger on it! I think a tweak of the levels / curves would make it 'pop' more. What a beautiful bird!

Of the 100 or so I took today this one jumped out at me. I am not the best at post edit - but have the full picture in RAW if you would like me to send it to you to play around with I would be chuffed! I will post up the un-cropped version first though.
You are right though it is a great bird.
This is the original shot.

A fabulous stance you've caught, good eye contact, very nice.
I agree with Mini about the feeling that’s something’s not right, I think part of that is the horizon travelling through the centre, and therefore I prefer it with a large portion cropped off the bottom.
Edit.Ps. The original seems better somehow.

The leather straps, put your finger over it and it changes the picture.
Lovely shot Bob, but look how dark it is and the amount of shadow detail your'e losing! I just increased the gamma.

I'm not sure there's a better crop looking at the original, but it's a lovely shot anyway.
I agree, bit dark but the original is a good shot otherwise

I hope you don't mind but I had a little play with it too, it's a superb image.

I don't mind at all :) . I am hopeless at the post shot editing so all help is appreciated. I can see the amount of detail lost in the shadows of the original.
