Tried to go for the studio-esque look :shrug:

Here's a drawing of my 'studio' set up? :naughty:

Stood in the doorway of my bedroom, i have totally white walls :D

It was taken with my 430ex bounced off the wall directly in front of me with the kit lens at 18mm.

I'm quite pleased with the result actually!

Very good - I would have thought you had done it in a studio or with a proper white background if you hadn't have said. Nice shot.

The camera was in my hand :D

The 20d+grip+430+lens is blooming heavy too when its facing the wrong way and held in one hand :eek:

You've done really well - I like it. Am loving the mean n moody look ;) I've failed miserably at self portraits, so I think you've done a good job - looks quite professional :clap:

Seriously though, excellent photo, looks like a professional studio one. Wonder how you'd do with a tripod and a remote release - might be worth giving that a try :)

He just has very long arms and a small head.

Intense stare on you there Johnny boy. I'm not a fan of the studio look or at least the full light look, i'm more in to available light. But Self portraits are not easy no matter where they are taken

Can so often be cheesy, i don't think this is

Has to be one of the best self potraids I've seen, while holding the camera aswell :eek: not cheesy either nice and simple.
