I seem to have lost my way recently with regards to macro shooting and even today when I had a bit of 'me' time I still struggled. Here are my efforts anyway.

Colin,

If I had to make a choice it would be number 2. Number one, although a great shot, doesn't do it for me which is odd as I normally love all your work. It still looks as though you are having lots of D200 fun!!

Regards,

Bob

I like both shots but the background in your second works better IMO, however both are stunning shots.

I like the reflection of the flower in the water droplet of the first one. :D Can you get a closer crop of that?

second for me - the reflection in the first is too busy for me - but tbh they're both cracking. Would happily have the second on my wall.

Agree with Kamion on this one, that looks like it'd make an amazing close crop, I think that there is a little too much background in this shot but really nice detail in the water. Reall great shots.

First one works for me...the detail in the droplet vs the complete lack of detail in the background - looks like a window into another world (okay thats a bit of a dramatic description  but I couldn't help myself :D !)
