Owned it a week and only got a chance to have a play with it today.

First impressions were how fast and acurate it focused, how quiet it was and the quality...sharpness, colours and contrast.

I normally spend longer than I would like in Photoshop squeezing out a result but had to do very little with the shots apart from a little web sharpening (with much lower settings than I would normally have to use)

Money well spent.
Ironically, I bought it from Kerso and this shot was taken at Arbroath Harbour, Ians' hometown.

Very nice lens, definately one of the lenses Im after, in particular to complement my last purchase (just the usual time, money, choice, working against me ;) ).

Nice shot, looks like a place full of opportunities to test out that lens, so much detail and colour - looks good

Glad you like the 17-40 L

I've had mine almost 2 years now and it still spends more time on the camera than any other lens i own.

Thanks guys.
One thing I was just told about is you should avoid going over f13 due to diffraction?
