Which compact camera? / price increases.

Just before christmas I bought a Canon Ixus 960is from Amazon.co.uk for £117. Now I have a friend looking for the same thing and today I checked the Amazon price and it's up to £270! I've heard of price increases but that's ridiculous.

So can anyone recommend a similar spec camera in the £100ish price bracket?

depends on the seller there really. i had a 450d+18-55 in my basket last night brand new for £379. today someones bought it so ive got to shell out £450 :lol:

just the luck of the draw with amazon but theres always bargains cropping up.

Thanks Outlaw, that's a great deal set against the background of major retailers wanting north of £250 for this camera currently. Amazing what a range of prices there are out there at present. I wish I'd bought a few at £117, I could be making good money reselling them less than a month later.....
