These next two were caged, I tried to focus out the wire but you can still see it sadly

Some in flight during the display

some nice shots there andy !

They are a tricky thing to catch well in flight as they are soooo fast ! not bad at all ! :)

The Harris Hawk on the lure is great!! Just taken at the right moment. Love it.

That Harris hawk is indeed ace. Well captured...just at the right moment.

Apart from that one...number 2 would have to be my favourite. I do enjoy seeing shots like this with reflections in the eye

Amazing shots, some of them. What lens did you use?

Numbers 1 & 3 were with my Canon 28-105 F3.5-4.5
All the rest were with the Canon 70-200 F2.8

I had real problems with the cage wire, what's the best way to deal with things like that ?

If you mean cage wire inbetween you and the bird, then get as close as you can and open your aperture as wide as you can to throw it out of focus :)

That's pretty much what I did it worked on some of the images above but this one it didn't work so well, I guess cos the chick was closer to the wire.

I ike this one none the less.

I can see what everyone means about the Harris Hawk, its making a lovely shape and appears to be looking right at you.
I have a soft spot for the Vulture pic too.

NP, shame about the wire on the baby chick, is there nowt you can do in PS?
