The Sigma definately won't be compatible with the 5D, as it's an APS-C lens (one which will only work with 400D, 40D, 50D etc. basically camera which have a cropped sensor). Not sure about the Tamron though :shrug:

Tamron would be fine I think. In fact ideal budget lens for a 5d. :)

thats cool, I will probably have my 24-105 on most of the time but it will be good to have the option.
