Would have looked amazing if it was all in :(

Looks brilliant (for the part you got - sorry, I know how smug that sounds), but with out a full framing of the cat, or the lack of eye contact I find it hard to find anything in this shot other than a sharp capture. So for me I dont think it works :bang:

Looks like it just pounced down in front of you Im guessing.

In truth Ian if the tiger had it's head up it would be better, but as it is it doesn't work for me all seems a bit to close and a bit to cut off.
Portrait with the same pose may have been better at least you would have seen more of the tiger.
On a plus note it's a nice sharp image.
Sorry if I sound a bit hard.

I agree with the fellers Ian. I think you needed some eye contact or a lower viewpoint, which I'm guessing you couldn't get?

it was actually walking toward me, and that was as low as i could get, im not sure if portrait crop would work 100% as it was that close ! lol

thanks for the comments though :)

It might be better if you could pull back some eye detail? I wouldn't bin it anyway.

As already said, think it needs the eye contact and some more space.

Ian, I don't think the lack of eye contact is a problem really. The shot (without the eye contact) would have been really excellent IMO if you'd taken it portrait and got the whole of the tiger in the shot. :)

Agree with Rick for this one. Really great colours & focus, possibly a really close crop around the eyes or head could turn it into a more artistic shot?

Is it possible to raise the details on the eyes - to see if you can pick out its pupils, if their looking forward but just in shadow at the moment that would make for a truly menacing close-in shot.
