Hi folks, I'm not really a photographer, I am just in need of a little advice. I wish to take photographs of kitchens, for a website I will be setting up(I'm a kitchen fitter) to advertise my work. I have taken lots of pictures of my kitchens over the years with a compact, but after seeing pictures of one of them taken by an estate agent, I decided I really need to have a wide angle lens to show them off better. I would like to buy an older type that no one wants anymore with a wide angle lens that I would be able to pick up very cheaply, nothing fancy, low resolution is fine as it's only for viewing on the internet. Can any one help me & point me in the right direction.
TIA

Welcome to TP

First of all, can you give us an idea of what your budget is for camera and lens, then we can see what we can come up with in your price range :)

Thanks for the welcome,

Guess I want something that is good for an amature but I dont want to be upgrading in a year or so, I think thats a false economy. £300? Will that get me a good lense?

Oops, wrong thread.

Being a Scotsman, I was thinking as cheap as possible as it will only be used for the one purpose. I thought on an old model as surely they must go for a song as no one wants an old style. I looked through some threads on here & saw this mentioned, but it does not have a wide angle lens. http://www.amazon.co.uk/FinePix-S602Z-Digital-Camera-6xOptical/dp/tech-data/B000068QGF/ref=de_a_smtd

Buy an old film SLR camera + wide lens? Get the photos processed at Boots etc, perhaps?

Have a look here (https://secure.fujifilm.co.uk/shop/consumer/digital/digital-cameras/view-all), you can often get some really good deals on their refurbished stuff

Would a Canon EOS 400D Digital SLR Camera kit inc. EF-S18-55mm Lens, serve my needs to produce estate agent type pictures. It's £329, a bit more than I would like to pay, but if that's what it takes.

I have seen this second hand on ebay, 2 years old, what would be the maximum bid you would make on it?
I would be most appreciative for any help.
