has anyone had any experiences with this Chinese shutter releases? I was hoping to start doing stacked images for use with Deep Sky and the timer gizmos look a good idea on this one, plus i always forget a stopwatch for long exposures :bang:

I bought the exact same one for my Sony A100 when I had it, worked a treat. Recently bought a wireless remote for my D300 from them and pleased with that considering it was less than £15 inc p&p.

Not sure how long they'll last but the Nikon one from Cameraworld looks exactly the same for £129. Link (http://www.cameraworld.co.uk/ViewProdDetails.asp?prod_code=PON08G000008&Prod_name=Nikon%20MC-36%20Remote%20Control&CAT_CODE=4&SUBCAT_CODE=69) I suppose it depends on how much you'll use it and if you have the funds to go for the Nikon one as I couldn't find any other alternative when I was looking. Would have gone for this rather than the wireless but the D300 has interval/timed exposures built in so didn't need it. Hasn't the D700 got the same function?
