hmm, looks like a post process blur to me. For me, a bit too much.
Dad is waiting for partner rather than child waiting for mum, the kiddy looks happy enough tucking into that cone :)

Trebs you must see the thread about marianne and her lens baby... I can't find it but it will explain the blur. I like the pic but I agree that I think it would have been better with a regular lens.

I dissagree about it looking better with a regular lens because then the other people in the shot (or rather parts of people lol) would be sharp and the impact on the subject would be lessened... ;)
