Wasn't staged at all. I was tidying her bedroom one morning wheil she was playing with her dressing up box...I looked up and saw exactly what you see here...and screamed "DO...NOT.....MOVE....while dad gets his camera"..lol

Great shot mate, does not matter if it was staged or not, every studio shot ever made was staged as are most portraits, does not stop them being good. As long as it's honest, that's all that matters.

barry you're so right, they tug on our emotional strings all the time.
Only this morning did I have to deal with a very teary 7 yr old (the one in the picture), telling me that everyone hates her.

The top bit is either the top half of the white dresser with mirror thing,

or if you mean in the reflection its the bar of a bunk bed :D

it runs 100% width inline with the top of the mirror. it dont ruin the picture or owt, just caught my attention :)
