View Full Version : Camera storage.
Just wondering if anyone could give me some advice about the safest way to store my camera and lenses (no bag/backpack as yet.) Also wondering about battery storage and if it is ok to leave 2 batteries inside the grip for storage?. I got 4 batteries with camera but only 2 of the small plastic bottom protectors.
Regards
Tommy.
Hi Tommy. My camera often sits on the tripod in my office for days on end, but usually it will be stored in a camera bag of some sort. It shouldn't really do any harm to leave it out as long as you don't leave it with the interior exposed to dust (and of course don't leave it where it could be knocked over and damaged). As for the batteries in the grip, my grip has 2 batteries permanently installed, it's what they're designed for.
What do you mean by "plastic bottom protectors"?
A bag would be the best solution. It is a small investment for the protection of your camera.
Choccy...
Thanks guys,
fabs - the protector thingies I got are 2 wee plastic squares that cover the bottom of the battery and the metal connecting part of it.
finally found a picture of one on E-bay .. thought they didn't exist for a minute there hehe. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2x-Battery-for-Canon-NB-2LH-Powershot-G7-G9-S80-400D_W0QQitemZ130281636788QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Ph otography_DigitalCamBatt_RL?hash=item130281636788&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1300|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A13 18
