View Full Version : I haven't bothered with home cinema until now
prefering instead to allow the market to mature before jumping in.
What do you think of this (http://www.engadget.com/2006/09/15/runcos-250-000-signature-cinema-sc-1-projector/).
:p
Looks ugly, but you cannot argue about the specs... pretty impressive, I think i will stick with my old 50" Sony RP HDTV for now, the picture isnt the best in the world, but my eyes arent that good anyway.

A good pair of spectacles is a far better investment that a high-tech screen! :)
omg. If you're considering buying that at $250,000, you must be very rich!
Do you drive a Ferrari or Lamborghini?
I don't think anyone on this forum is considering buying one :D
Nah, 1 wouldnt be enough, I want 2, one for me living room and one for me bedroom... :p

Anecdote time...
Last time I was in the States visiting my Mom I went to a parade of homes (selling for the price I would pay for a 3 bedroom semi here I might add) and every single one of them had a home theatre in the basement with a movie projector onto a screen that came down from the ceiling. With those really big comfy leather chairs... OH to have one of those projectors with that setup. I don't think I'd ever leave!
