Is there a definitive list of rules including but not limited to :
What is/isn't an isn't acceptable in posts, language, thread spoiling etc
Size of posted images
Number of images allowed in each post for both the sharing forums and the In depth forums
Posting images to the correct forums
If there is a list I aint found it.
they are slowly coming back into the relevant area, and bod is working on an Uberfaq.
We do have image sharing sizes onsite, no limit of images posted(as yet), image sizes are 800px max unlimted size, but commen sense applies. We rarely inforce rules, as we dont have to. the recent thread spoiling is the exception

But previous instances of "thread spoiling" have gone through without any comment, or is it that no-one complained about them ?
We did have some definitive rules, but after the forum shakeup we decided to remove them for rewriting and review.
The main thing we want on the forums is friendliness. If you stick by the rule of being friendly, while adopting common sense, then everything else usually falls into place.
We tend to trust members to use common sense more than anything, as we very very rarely have to take mod action.
We have only moderated some posts recently on a very small number of occasions, usually only just to ensure this forum stays squeaky clean legally.
We'll make sure the "Classifieds" rules and guidelines get posted up shortly, to save any future confusion.

no complaints no, we have had a few recently and all have been reported. I and the rest of the team dont always read every single thread, so sometimes its only RTM's that let us know there is a problem
I act as a Mod on another site, and the rule of thumb there is the less the Mods intervene, the better.
The owner takes as strict a "no censorship" stance as possible, but even then you get the odd idiot who goes out of their way to disrupt the site by trying to provoke the owner or the Mods into doing something...
From what i have seen the short time I've been on this site, it's run with a fairly easy going attitude, and everybody is pretty friendly, especially towards novices likes myself... not every photography forum is this friendly i might add..
So I'd like to say thanks to everybody , both Mods and members, for making this site as enjoyable as it is and long may it continue in this spirit...
Regards,
Pete
Pete, you're very welcome mate :)
Many thanks for the kind words :)
That's the exact attitude we try and work by, friendly and relaxed.
We don't want to censor things we shouldn't and the less we get involved as mods, the better.
