Just received my new toy: Canon 100m f2.8 Macro. delivered in very good time by Mr Ian Kerr (Kerso on this forum) and at a bargain price. My thanks to him and to those of you who helped me make the choice!

When I've got time I'll get out and play with it and share the results on here. :D

Lets call it a 50th birthday present!

Congrats on your new purchase

I'd sell a bodypart to be able to afford one of those right now :bonk:

So how are you finding this lens ? It's on my want list although considering 180mm and also Tamron 90mm.

I'm finding it a great lens Ray - its my first foray into macro but the results seem good for a novice like me. I'll try to get some more examples up today/tomorrow.

The other one that gets good reviews is the Sigma 150mm.

John

I have a Canon 100 macro coming from Kerso too (and a 24-105 F4 L) I can't wait to play with it after seeing some of the great images people on here have produced with it.

If you don't mind me asking how much does he sell the 24-105 for?.

Purchased 100mm 2.8 macro, 16-35mm 2.8 and eos 7ne camera, all far cheaper than the shops and arrived in Scotland in ultra quick time.
