I needed a wide angle for a job and this came at a good price and meant my fund fro the 2.8 IS dissapeared. I was getting fed up with only having the one zoom gonig to 70mm and then a prime at 85 and 150 so i have my bases covered now. Just need to go out and test the buggers!

I haven't used the Sigma, but the 10-22mm is just lovely; my favourite EF-S lens after the 17-55mm, but the 10-22mm is more fun.
the 10-22 is a cracking lens i agree. cant wait to try it out!

How much may i ask?
*puts little finger in corner of mouth*
One million pounds
£310 for the 10-22 with hood.
*hate*
I paid quite a bit more for mine....
bit of bad news - the sigma is front focusing. even with +20 on the 50D micro adjustment its not right.
I have 6 months shop warranty on it so gonig to have to use that for the send of and calibration.

Ouch :(
I suppose a warranty repair would be the best solution if you got a deal on the price.
Have you mentioned it to the seller?

it was a shop i bought it from so hopefully they will honour the 6 months guarantee they give in house. Just doing some fact finding on cost!
right the shop have honured the calibration so still a very happy person.
