After reading this:

I went to amazon and bought the 10-20 for £301...

Been contemplating a wide angle for months....

Yes you have, prices are on the up and look like they will be for a while.

Have a look at Camera Price Buster - prices are rising quickly, and all specialist photography shops are now being beaten by places like Amazon and Comet as they still have stock purchased 6 months ago before the price increases

That's certainly cheaper than anywhere else on the web (that I can find). It gets a great review and there's a lot of happy users on here.

Worst lens ever.
:naughty:

Nice one mate. I got mine for £250 off onestop-digital around this time last year and haven't regretted it.

That's a great price for it nowadays, when I bought mine nearly a year ago Jessops wanted £320 for one

I paid about £320 for one back in May 2008 from Fotosense, although it came with a "free" Sigma EX DG UV filter.

So £300-ish is a good price.

Great lens, I've got one for a year, and it's always my favourite one.
I paid it £300 on Ebay...but it was a second hand.

I love mine.Rarely use it for landscape though--its best when you get up real close.

Good purchase.
I also found Amazon to be the cheapest for the Sigma.
I almost went for the same deal but I had my heart set on the Canon 10-22.

I paid £230 for my first one, back in Feb 2007 (mint, boxed), and sold it for £220 in Aug 2007. Bought my current one 6 months ago for £230 as well. My prices have shot up!

So wish I had the spare cash lying around to buy one of these. I'd love a Sigma 10-20mm, but with the impending price increases it looks like it will be a while before I get one. You've done the right thing, I've seen some stunning shots from this lens.

Yeah it looks like you got the last one. £370 now. On Warehouse Express they are £311 but have no stock, so you will be on a back order. Just ordered mine, selling my 100mm Macro.

It's one of the best lenses I've had the privilege of owning. I regret selling mine.

Great choice.

I got a 2nd hand 10-22 a month back for £410ish from misfuds, just to spite calumet as they wanted £50 more than they stated for a 10-20, on the last day of the calumet sale.

Was shocked to see that misfuds have a used 10-22 in now for £500

I've had 2 of these lenses, one for the Canon and now one for my Nikon.
They're a good and fun lens.
