It's an emotional Clive speaking:

"Yes I'd like to thank my agent, my Mum, my Sister, My Brother in Law and my friends. It's was very worrying task but sometimes you have to bite the bullet and just do it!

So folks what have I done?!

Yes I've just updated the firmware on my D300 to the latest version! Was a bit worried about doing it but in the end it was a breeze thanks to very helpful pdf document on Nikon's website.

So folks if the village idiot can do it so can you if own a D300.

Can't decide whether to do my D700 - never spotted a blind bit of different with firmware updates generally (apart from the D2X which added loads).

I reckon they just change the version numbers for a laugh and enjoy all the "wow! huge improvement" placebo effect type posts :)

I have often wondered, how many sandwiches should there be in a picnic ?

I am assured by someone that knows about these thing, the number of sandwiches for a picnic should be enough to feed the voices in your head, any less is a definate indication of madness.
