Wanted something for my Photo-A-Day, and seeing as all I seem to have done today was ride the bike, came up with this...

Quite surprised how clean and shiney the bike looks considering the weather :)

I was quite pleased myself - considering it's with the 6 year old Ixus V3, and that I was riding down a 1 in 10, one handed, waving the camera roughly in the direction of the bike and frantically pressing the shutter release...

This was a bit sharper - problem was, I was freewheeling in it... :nono:

Edit: Oh dear - just noticed i'm on the small chainring going downhill as well - they'll drum me out of the Bike Club for that :D

granny ring on fancy 10 speed group too by the look of it. If it's DA 10, I'm going to have to beat you with a track pump...

Well - I didn't post the 50-odd that were blurred/out of focus/of my elbow/with a thumb over the lens/some other glaring fault... ;)

To be honest, the Ixus is just the job for this kind of thing - small enough to fit in one hand, great big 4gb memory card in it (which goes a looooong way with 3.2mp cameras). Having said that - i'd only do it on extremely quiet roads, as the wobble factor would be dangerous in traffic.

:puke: Used to leave a 54 on my winter hack just to punish myself up long winter hills. But then I was a tester... :naughty:

Bought the Compact for a certain long hilly ride in france a couple of years ago, as I wasn't sure how my knees would cope with the combination of 53-39 and 20km plus inclines. It was definitely the right decison. To be honest there's no real reason for a 36t granny around here - it's just a nice looking bit of kit, and a shame to have it just sitting in a box, doing nothing. Plus - all the twiddling helps keep me warm in the snow and slush over here at the moment ;)
