Just bought a Gorilla pod (SLR Zoom) and wonder which Manfrotto head i should get for it. I dont want anything too sophisticated as it is for travel.

Thanks for any advice

How about the 484RC2? It's not too big and iirc about £45...

Mmm...just had a look on warehouse express site and thats mainly for 35mm and point and shoot cameras. Not sure if it would still do though

Have a look at the 486 too, it's slightly bigger, the 488 though is waaaay too big

Manfrotto also make a head for monopods (but not a ball head) I think it is a 234 or 234RC.

I tried my 486rc2 and it's very good with gorillapod. I think it's a good choice, as a lighter ball head.

Hi,

Quite new to all this...I just bought a 55pro Manfrotto tripod (great to use)and a 322rc2(also great to use) grip ball head...is this head a bit overkill for a gorilla pod...as they seem to be used by a lot of photographers......THANKS
