This guy stopped us on a long straight road in Death Valley and made us wait in the sun for 25 minutes - so I got out and shot him (with the camera as that was all I had)

He stood there in front of us the full 25 minutes barely moving like a statue. After 5 minutes I was wondering if he was real :)

The road was so busy that by the end of the 25 minutes there was another car waiting behind us.

This is what he was looking at all that time.....

What a crummy job to have (at that location!) Hey, if you were in the US, you could have easily gone off-road in that situation, you know, with all the *necessary* SUVs and such...said by an american.
Love the blue sky btw.

I wonder how much job satisfaction he gets? Not very smiley is he!

Great picture Robert - I've always wanted to drive down a road like that...

You should have asked him when hammer time is ;) "Dude, I've been waiting for 25 minutes!"

I must say I miss straight roads! Great picture though. I know someone who used to have that job and it did pay well but I guess it would have to. The heat during the summer must be unbearable.

Poor bloke. Nice sky, by the way, did you use a polarising filter or was it early in the morning?

The polariser got a good work out on that holiday! I'd say it was a must have item based on the difference it made. Viewfinder did seem a bit dull with it though.
