May be a stupid question, but how do you find out what the shutter count is on a D80?

It's contained within the EXIF data of your photos. If you download a programme like Opanda and open one of your jpegs in it the count should be there. Alternatively upload a pic to TP and someone will be able to tell you :)

that's in my gallery and i can say i've taken about 100 photos since i took that yesterday so that'll give me a rough idea.

Looks like the EXIF has been stripped from that pic, you must have the filter on blocking the EXIF being viewed on Flickr. If you go to your Flickr options and turn it back on you should be able to view the data for yourself on all of your pica, assuming it hasn't been removed by Photoshop or similar.
