Has anyone any idea how this works? They do a 135mm f2 lens with this feature but I can't seem to find much info on it.

Quick Google: http://www.stacken.kth.se/~maxz/defocuscontrol/ - it mentions the 135mm f/2.

there's a 105mm F/2 with DC, too...

I've been lusting after the 135mm F/2 for a while - I got to try one out a while ago, and it was lovely... But the price!

The DC control is interesting stuff. Basically it allows you a certain degree of control over the bokeh, and how "smooth" it is. Be aware that if you make it smoother behind the subject, it becomes harsher infront of it. And vice versa.

It's also handy for creating a "soft focus" effect if you push it beyond the actual aperture you're using. This one can be replicated in PS, but it's nice to have the real deal.

The DC stuff, really, doesn't make a huge difference - but it is nice to have, if you have the money.
I ended up getting an old AI 135mm F/2.8 for £15, though ;)
