It'll be just my luck that a new, updated PW with loads of new features, is being released, having just gone out & bought some of them.

I wouldn't worry about it, the new ones are bound to be even more expensive. If you need more of them just buy some of the older models, they turn up cheap (sometimes unused and still boxed) on Ebay...

My money would be on E-TTL metering for a 'big' upgrade though. Especially with the Radio Poppers snapping at their heels.

I really, really, REALLY hope they lower the price, even of the older models. I don't suppose they will and I'm grasping at straws a bit. I would love a set of pocket wizards but just can't afford or justify 300 quid for two, particularly when I'd need another one for my two flashes.

I see it going one of two ways.

Either it's an update to the current model with some 'extended' features and the Plus III will retail for around the current price, hopefully pushing the price of older models down.

Or we'll get something new with loads of features but that costs a fortune and the value of the Plus and Plus II will remain rock-solid.
