so, got a new lens for my birthday (Tamron SP AF 90mm 2.8 Di) - which is actually next week (but i had to test the lens to make sure it was ok;) )
I've discovered that macro is not as easy as i had thought it might be - tiny movement = naff shot:razz:
anyhoo - here it is...

Very nice indeed - I like the lighting in this shot and the angle...
I have just purchased a macro and posting the odd attempt (see my spider post for an early attempt) - i'm finding the dof a challenge especially outside with webs blowing in the breeze!!!
Thats a good first attempt in my humble opinion!

Sounds like weve got a macro beginners class here :-) Be glad to see both your attempts and I'll be happy to share mine when I get a chance!

That's a decent first attempt! Particularly like the DOF and the way the light makes the web stand out.
Windy conditions are a nightmare. Sometimes you've just got to take several shots in the hope that you've got the focus right on one of them.
I've had the Tamron for about 6 months now and it's still my favourite lens. It does a mean portrait as well :)
