well random post got a Canon EF 1.4x II Extender 2nd hand from LCE for £200, not tried it apart from the test shots i took while in the shop :) but all seems fine for what is a bargain at the moment :).
Also walked away with a Velbon CF Monopod :) bit of a spend up today.
Next up is can Is the question.
Can you use that plus 70-200 + Macro tubes :)

Morgan,
Yes you can use the tubes with your 70-200. Here's an idea of what you're likely to see and from how far away;
With 12mm of tube you have 0.22x to 0.17x mag with a working distance (lens to subject) of 306-375mm (that'll be the range from minimum focus to infinity) at the wide end....quite a narrow range and not too useful. At the long end (200mm) things get a little better. 0.22x to 0.06x with a working distance 914-3145mm.
A 25mm tube...wide end will give 0.41x to 0.38x within a very narrow 138-143mm working distance. Things get better at the long end..0.30x to 0.14x with WD 0f 694-1466mm
All quoted magnifications will increase by 1.4x when the tube is added and the MFD will be increased by the length of the T/C
Hope that helps.
