View Full Version : Cheap Telephoto ?
Being that cash is tighter than a tight thing at the moment but also taking into account my absolute need for shiny new camera equipment.:naughty:
I was looking at THIS (http://www.jessops.com/online.store/categories/Accessories/Camera%20Accessories/Lenses/products/Sigma/55-200mm%20f45.6%20DC%20HSM%20for%20Nikon%20AF-50607/Show.html) has anybody used this lens, I appreciate it's not going to be a Zeiss for the money but how good or bad is it.
Cheers

Have just sold my nikon kit lens(55-200 af-s non vr) on ebay for £99.99:clap: to upgrade to 70-300VR, you can get the same lense new from camera box for £109.99.
http://www.camerabox.co.uk/productDA1.asp?ProductName=Nikon-55-200mm-F4-5.6G-AF-S-DX-(Special-!!)&ProductID=2965
The 55-200 nikon lense is a good lense :thumbs:but I needed VR at the longer length in low light.
Nothing against sigma I would love the 70-200 2.8, but if the price is close I would always go for nikon.

Thank's for the link:thumbs:, I used to own the Nikkor 55-200, tis indeed a good lens and at £10 more than the sigma is a really good price.
I've never used camera box, what are they like as per reliability/returns etc?
Cheers
