I have just ordered a Fujifilm Finepix 9500 and i have been advised not to waste money on a fast (1oox) compactflash card has will have little or no effect.

yeah but a 1gb sans disk extreme 111 is only 30 odd quid now days with a lifetime guarantee, rather than a cheap and cheerfull, I would always buy one regardless.

I agree - for the price it is worth it.

Come down in price since I bought mine a couple of months ago.

I've got 2 of these now and wouldn't swop them for nowt (well maybe a 2gb'er or a IV version)

Or you could buy a mymemory CF 2gig card for less than a 1gig sandisk. Im using one now and its fine.

Or even buy the Sandisk Ultra II at £17.99 for 1Gb.
A good compromise between performance, reliability/reputation and economics IMO.
