DOF @ 1.8 is really narrow with this lens.. And the bokeh is out of this world..

jeezus tim, if you had gotten any closer we could have followed the food down the hatch..
cracking shot by the way
I can't quite make out all of the house and garden reflected in his eye - can you post a sharper version ?

That is incredible! You can even see the new feathers coming in! I know which house to rob if I want nice kit ;) Of course it was all lens and had nothing to do with the expert hand taking the pic.

I forget when I type that you all can't hear the tone of voice I'm thinking in! I hope it was apparent that I was takin the p**s
Oh yeah, don't worry :) I know it's easy to forget smileys and that and besides, we know you enough to know of your intent ;)
Absolute cracker of a shot.
(try to see if you can get him on a twig/branch adjoined to your birdtable.
It does detract from a brilliant shot somewhat to see all the peanuts and lumps of bread in the foreground ;) )
Make it your next target, Tim! :)
Wow, another great shot there Tim. Love the bokeh yes.
jules :)
