Right i just tried to change my shutter speed with obviously the top roller on my 30d weather i turn it left or right it only goes left. So i cant go to faster shutter speeds...:shake:
so if i turn it left it goes down a stop and if i turn it right....it goes down a stop
Have i broken my camera?:help:
Not sure if you have the facility on the 30D, but the 40D allows you to set the wheels to work in the opposite direction, may be worth reversing them and then putting them back again  On the 40D its cuttom function IV 4 may be worth a try if nobody else comes up with an answer.

Have you tried doing a reset, or even just switching it off and leaving it for a wee while?

Its funny you say that I remember reading someone who had the same happen with a Sony Alpha and it was something to do with having used the battery grip,

Does the wheel that was not working before now work after you fitted the grip? Weird stuff!

Was it the wheel actually got stuck, or turning the wheel in one direction it did the wrong thing? Something similar happened once when I plugged in my Nifty Fifty. Removing and reattaching the lens sorted out the problem.
