sorry non DG and MACRO

I don't think that one exists!

The ones I know about are:

70-200 f/2.8 EX HSM
70-200 f/2.8 EX HSM DG
70-200 f/2.8 EX HSM Macro DG (now known as MKI)
70-200 f/2.8 EX HSM Macro DG MKII

The 3rd one (MKI) is awful, Sigma messed up horribly trying to optimise it for close-up so threw the baby out with the bathwater by messing up 200mm wide open. The MKII is better. IMHO none of the macros are at good as 200mm as the pre-macro versions. I assume decent 200mm performance is a priority rather than closer focusing.

thats the one i mean 70-200 f/2.8 EX HSM

Thats very good, I used one in Japan for about 5 months for street candids, usually with a 2x TC.

I have the EX HSM ,had a wee worry about front focusing ,it was me that was at fault not the lens,i actually think its quite fast on the focus front, but am nae expert
